Just the numbers really as I’m flat out at work and at home.
Plus I’m exhausted.
But holiday soon though, hence the ‘busyness’.
And my wrist is better, though not 100%.
Anyway, here goes for October!
I saved 22% of my net salary. The above includes £86.94 from doing Prolific surveys and £60.03 from Google Adsense.
Shares and Investment Trusts
Dividends and Other Income
A so-so month for dividend income:
I received £290.84, of which £275.17 was from my ISAs, the rest from my SIPPs. All dividends were reinvested.
Here’s the progress on my ISA dividend income:

Congrats on your rocket ship performance. I notice that wily old Buffet is dumping equities and storing cash. I have drawn the attention of our younger generation to this strategy.
Of course whether it’s a wise strategy Only Time Will Tell.
Enjoy your hols!
Cheers, dearieme!
Looks like the ISA dividend target is going down to the wire this year….it’s like an Eastenders’ Christmas omnibus nailbiter! And if the markets behave themselves, next year could bring you a couple of nice landmark achievements – the £300k barrier and £5k ISA dividends, maybe.
For your Future Fund, have you plotted out where you think that figure needs to be by year, in order for you to at least have the option to pack up work? Each year you tick off should mean the required FF reduces, as in theory there’s one less year to fund. I think i’d be tempted to start focusing in on that now, as surely you can’t be too far away from being in complete control and having choices, even if that only means sleeping even easier at night.
Hey KC
Yes, it’s going to be a close one for the ISA dividend income, and yes, hopefully some nice landmarks and milestones to look forward to next year.
I haven’t really plotted where my FF figure needs to be each year – only because I tried to do this early on in my FIRE journey and it was not easy to predict! But you’re right, each year I continue to work, that’s one less year to fund. I may take another look, cheers.
Hi! Wow, gotta love your consistency after so many years now. So admirable! I just wanted to say hi as I’ve not been in FI world for a while now but wanted to congratulate you on the growth of your funds! After going part-time for 2 yrs but still working a lot my perspective changed. A few work opportunities came up which gave me more purpose and sense of fitting in, and I really couldn’t save when I went 50% fte so savings rates just left my mind like a distant dream! Just maintaining my finances was the goal. I’m now back to saving but streamlined everything. Hope you’re keeping well!
Hey Firelite
Long time no see – hope all’s well with you! Yes, still plugging away here – I feel that if I don’t do my updates, there’s still a risk that I will fall off the rails and lose control of my finances!
I recall you were going part-time so can understand how that would have changed your financial outlook and savings rate.
