A Different Kind of Sane?

brexit

Panic on the streets of London
Panic on the streets of Birmingham
I wonder to myself
Could life ever be sane again?*

The answer is in time, yes, but likely a very different kind of sane.

The world hasn’t ended.

The sky hasn’t fallen down.

Democracy at its best/worst (delete as applicable).

Life goes on but not as we know it.

  1. “Everything will be okay in the end. If it’s not okay, it’s not the end.”
    ― John Lennon

Honestly no idea what this will lead to (if anything will change in the end), but I am pretty sure things will not be too different for you and I in the end…

  2. I was shocked and a bit scared when I first saw the result. But I think you’re right, and it will be OK. I actually laughed out loud this morning at this quote from the Motley Fool’s Morgan Housel:

“Market commentators are lining up to calmly forecast the likely outcome of the U.K.’s decision to leave the European Union. These are the same commentators who calmly forecast that the U.K. would not leave the European Union. So take them for what they’re worth.”

    • Hi Steve

Thanks for that link – how much do the ‘experts’ really know, haha?

Like Tren Griffin, I’m doing nothing with my portfolio, I’ll still be buying regardless, although I may look around to see if there are any bargains to be had.
